Preparation for the Sacrament begins in the 7th Grade and continues into the 8th. The Sacrament is celebrated in the Fall of the 9th Grade.

Journey to Adult Faith….

Are you a baptized Catholic who desires a deeper relationship with God through reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation?  There are several options depending on your prior faith formation.

Begin the process by consulting with Sister Mary Schoberg to assess where you are on your journey of faith and where you would like to be.  You will be encouraged to either join a Becoming Catholic group or another group that will foster your growth.

What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is the sacrament in which the Church celebrates what the Spirit of Jesus has done for each of us;  is doing for each of us;and will always do for each of us - and for the life of the community of faith, becoming true witnesses of the faith by word and deed. 

Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are the sacraments of initiation. Once you receive all three you are fully initiated into the Catholic Church.

What is Faith?

Faith is a quality of the person not just a system of beliefs.  It is the ability to think, speak and act in the light of Jesus' thought, words and actions as portrayed in the gospels.   Faith enables one to find in life a meaning that is profound and ultimate and so results in inner peace.  Faith involves vision and commitment to that vision.  It is a gift, task and lifelong process.
